White tones, colors and effects
Updated yesterday
Tap a light on Home to open its controller. What you see depends on the light: a tunable white light has a warmth slider, an RGB light has a color slider as well.
Brightness
Drag the Brightness slider from 1 to 100 percent. Changes go to the light straight away; there is nothing to save.
Warmer or cooler white
On a tunable white light, such as the Haylen (Smart Lights), drag the Temperature slider from Warm to Cool. Warm is a golden evening light, Cool is closer to daylight. Brightness and warmth are separate, so you can have a dim cool light or a bright warm one.
The remote does the same job: on a tunable white light it moves between warmer and cooler white. It does not make colors; those are for the RGB version.
Colors and effects on an RGB light
On a Haylen RGB (Smart Lights) the second slider is Color, with the full range of hues. Picking a color ends any effect that was running.
Tap Presets at the bottom of the controller for saved colors, and Effects for moving scenes such as Rainbow, Ocean, Ember, Candle and Sunset. While an effect runs, the brightness slider sets the effect's brightness.
Save your own look
Set the light the way you like it, then tap + New in the Presets row, name it and tap Save this look. You can keep up to 16 saved looks. Tap All to see everything, and Edit favorites to choose which looks sit on the controller: up to 10 colors or presets, and up to 23 effects.
Colors look washed out or wrong
Amber looking white, or red looking pink, was a fault in how an older version of the app sent colors to the light, not a fault in the light. Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play and pick the color again.
