Make your Haylen smart:
the conversion kit

Yes, a regular Haylen or Haylen RGB can be made smart. We swap the controller inside the light for a smart one, which comes with its own new remote, and the light then pairs with the MOD LIGHTING app like any smart light.

How to order it

Send us your order number through the contact page and tell us how many lights you want to convert. We will send the right kit for your lights with the price. One kit converts one light.

Fitting it

The controller sits inside the light and is fitted by you or your electrician. Switch the power off at the breaker first, and keep the old controller until the new one works. We send a fitting video for your light with the kit. If anything about the wiring is unclear, send us a photo of both sides before you connect anything and we will confirm it for your light.

Then, in this order

1. Fit the controller.
2. Pair the new remote to the light: Pair the remote to your light. The old remote no longer applies after the swap; a converted light that stays on one color and ignores the old remote is expected.
3. Pair the light to the app: Pair a light to the app. The remote's pairing button is what puts the light into pairing mode, so the app comes after the remote works.

One light at a time. The others stay as they are until the first one is in the app.

If the new remote will not pair

After two clean tries of the remote steps, contact us with your order number and a short video of what the light does when you hold ON, and we will take it from there.
