How to choose

Start with the room and the fixture type, exactly as you would for the standard version, then decide how much control you want. Dimming alone suits a dining room or bedroom. Colour temperature earns its keep in a kitchen or office, where cool light in the morning and warm light at night change how the space feels. Schedules and scenes matter most in rooms you pass through, hallways and entries, where the light should already be on.

Rooms and pairings

Pair a smart chandelier over the dining table with smart sconces on the same wall so one scene sets the whole room. In a bedroom, a smart ceiling light and a smart sconce on each side of the bed give reading light without a wall switch.
