Frequently asked questions about Long Strip Wall Light

A strip light draws a continuous line instead of a pool, so the wall reads as lit architecture rather than a wall with a lamp on it. Beside a front door or along a facade, that single line is often the whole lighting scheme the frontage needs.

The linear wall light family

Haylen is the core of the range, a modern waterproof LED wall light in eight lengths from 12 to 94 inches, IP65 rated in aluminum and acrylic. The wired versions carry three color temperatures, 3000K, 4500K and 6000K, with brightness set from a handheld remote. The same body comes as an RGB edition with seven colors and 358 effects, a dusk-to-dawn light sensor edition, and a solar edition in two color temperatures. Harper runs the same linear idea in iron at a fixed warm white 3000K, in eight lengths of its own.

Length, height and light

Sizing is proportional: a band flanking a front door usually lands between 24 and 47 inches, and a wide run of wall can take 59 to 94. Mount horizontally at 60 to 65 inches to center indoors, 66 to 72 outside so the line clears approaching sightlines, or run the light vertically near a door frame. On a corridor or a long exterior wall, several shorter units spaced evenly read better than one unbroken run.

Facades, hallways and everything between

Outside is where this design started: a line beside the front door, a lit band along a garden wall. It sits naturally beside the rest of MOD LIGHTING's outdoor lighting, and pairs with the lantern shapes in the outdoor wall sconces collection when a facade needs both a line and a point. Indoors, the same pieces bring order to hallways, stair walls and bedheads, and the wider field of indoor wall lights carries crystal, alabaster and brass sconces alongside them.

Price scales with length, so measure the wall and settle the power route, hardwired, solar or sensor, before choosing one; wiring is the decision that is hardest to change later.
