Natural alabaster, with its warm translucence and delicate veining, has been cherished for centuries for its unique ability to diffuse light with a soft, ethereal glow. When the MOD LIGHTING team began exploring materials for a new collection, they were drawn to alabaster not only for its beauty, but for the way it made them feel. “There’s an emotional softness to it,” one designer noted. “It reminded us of candlelight on stone, like something you’d see in a quiet cathedral or a sunlit hillside villa.”
From the beginning, the team envisioned more than a modern lighting line. They wanted something grounding, soulful, and sculptural. Alabaster offered exactly that. With its natural variations and mineral traces, every piece became a quiet celebration of imperfection. It wasn’t about polish. It was about presence.
Combined with hand-finished brass and brushed gold, alabaster transforms into something almost ceremonial. It’s a material that feels rooted in tradition, yet inherently modern. It became the soul of a collection designed to quiet the noise and bring calm, luminous elegance into the home.
Each piece in the Alabaster Collection is designed as a functional sculpture. From the fluid curves of the Celia ceiling light to the architectural precision of the Nala wall sconce, form and function work in harmony. The collection transcends trends by merging timeless materials with expressive silhouettes—each fixture not only illuminates but also elevates the atmosphere it inhabits.
The Alabaster Collection embodies quiet luxury—sophistication that whispers through material honesty and timeless design. Each fixture is built not only to inspire, but to endure. Thoughtful details like dimmer compatibility and replaceable LED components ensure adaptability for modern living.
From the soft gleam of brushed gold to the artisanal layering of alabaster, every element reflects MOD LIGHTING’s commitment to longevity, elegance, and craftsmanship that transcends trends.
Celia’s wide alabaster disc casts a warm, ambient glow that’s ideal for bedrooms, hallways, and transitional spaces where subtle, even lighting is essential. Its minimalist design makes it perfect for low ceilings or rooms seeking understated luxury.
Selene elevates dining rooms and entryways with its soft alabaster glow and gently rounded form. The stone’s natural veining adds visual interest without overwhelming a space, making it ideal for calm, curated interiors.
A dramatic choice for double-height ceilings, great rooms, or modern staircases, Seraphine’s concentric alabaster rings deliver a bold sculptural presence. Its layered light creates dimension, making it both a focal point and a conversation piece.
Perfect for flanking a mirror or lining a hallway, the Seraphine Sconce brings vertical drama to walls with its glowing alabaster panels and radiant crystal details. It’s a statement in softly lit architecture.
Best suited for dining rooms or formal living areas, the Alba’s petal-like alabaster layers mimic floral elegance while softly diffusing light. It works beautifully over round tables or in rooms seeking organic charm.
Use the Alba Pendant in pairs or clusters above a kitchen island or elongated dining table. Its vertical form draws the eye upward while its alabaster petals create a gentle, natural radiance.
Add a refined glow to powder rooms, hallways, or bedside walls with the Alba Sconce. Its compact form and layered alabaster detail make it ideal for adding softness in small-scale spaces.
Ora is a versatile accent for nightstands, consoles, or office desks. Its alabaster dome provides warm, non-glare lighting—ideal for relaxing spaces or task lighting with a sculptural twist.
A top choice for kitchens or breakfast nooks, the Zira’s dome of alabaster stone brings soft contrast to modern or minimalist interiors. Its clean lines allow it to work solo or in multiples.
Nala adds vertical rhythm and architectural structure to hallways, stairwells, or flanking large furniture. Its alabaster body emits a soft, ambient wash—excellent for layered lighting plans.
