Frequently asked questions about Modern Cabinet Pulls

A cabinet pull is the smallest fitting in a kitchen and the one your hand touches most. These modern cabinet pulls are solid brass bars in brushed gold, sized from a 1 1/4-inch hole center for a narrow drawer up to 6 5/16 inches.

Six pulls, one standard

Iris, Wellesley, Innis and Alison hold a clean straight line, all solid brass under a brushed gold finish. Maddison spans the widest range, from that 1 1/4-inch hole center up to 6 5/16 inches. Wellington also comes in matte black. Every pull ships in packs of two, four, six or ten.

Choosing a length

The one-third rule does most of the deciding: a pull roughly a third of the width of the front it sits on, so a 30-inch drawer takes a 10-inch pull and a 15-inch door a 5-inch one. On very wide drawers, two shorter pulls usually work better than one long bar. Listings give exact length and hole-center spacing, the number to match when replacing pulls on existing holes.

Minimalist luxury, in practice

The finish story is deliberately short, which lets these pulls sit quietly under warm brass pendants or read as the single warm note in a cooler kitchen. Pair them with cabinet knobs on upper doors where a full bar is too much, and keep one finish across a run.

Measure the drawer you open most, then let the one-third rule pick the length.
