Delete your MOD LIGHTING app account

You can delete your MOD LIGHTING app account at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us. This page explains what gets deleted, what stays, and how long it takes.

What deleting removes

Deleting your app account removes the account that runs your lights:

  • your MOD LIGHTING app account and its sign-in
  • every home and space you created
  • every light paired to that account, and the schedules and timers on them
  • your saved looks and favorites
  • the app's record of which lights belong to you

Once it is gone, the app can no longer control any light on that account. To use those lights again you would create a new account and pair them again.

What stays

Deleting your app account does not close your account on mod-lighting.com, and it does not remove your order history.

  • your website account, your addresses and your store credit stay as they are
  • your MOD LIGHTING orders, invoices and warranty records stay
  • your marketing email preferences are unchanged

We keep order records for accounting, warranty and tax reasons. Our privacy policy puts it this way: "When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information."

If you also want your website account and order information deleted, say so in your email and we will handle both together.

Delete it in the app

The fastest way, and it takes about thirty seconds.

  1. Open the MOD LIGHTING app and go to the You tab.
  2. Tap Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete this account.
  4. Confirm twice. The second screen is the last step.

You are signed out straight away.

Include the email address on the account so we can find it. If you are writing from a different address, tell us which one to delete.

We reply as quickly as we can and confirm by email once the account is gone.

How long it takes

Your lights and spaces are removed from the app after 7 days.

That week is a safety net, not a delay: if you change your mind, sign in again within 7 days and the deletion is cancelled and nothing is lost. After 7 days it is permanent and we cannot restore it.

Requests sent by email follow the same 7 day window, starting from the day we confirm.
